My Thoughts So Far on “Blade Runner”

I didn’t get to finish the movie just yet, but I hope to after today! It has been really intriguing so far. I find myself asking a lot of questions about why the characters choose to do certain things (like who would really want to be a Replicant hunter, I mean…), but I also find myself tying certain themes from their society to our present society.

I ultimately feel really bad for the Replicants and I can see how the movie is progressing more and more towards making the viewer question who the real antagonist is. I feel especially bad for Rachel as her relationship with Deckard has developed into something that she really doesn’t deserve whether she has emotions or not. All the things humans have put the Replicants through really makes one think if they have devolved into losing their emotions and morality compared to the Replicants.

All in all though, I am really enjoying the visuals of the movie. They are really amazing and have tons of meaning in almost each scene.

Literally me with the visuals:
